I’ve tested a lot of Minecraft mods that sound cool on paper but feel kind of forgettable in-game. Wings Mod (Better Wings to Fly in Minecraft) is more interesting than that, mostly because it actually changes how the world feels instead of just adding random clutter. The Minecraft New Better Wings Mod adds nine pairs of avian and insectoid wings for speedy aerial navigation. Wings are breakable objects earned through crafting and worn as a chest accessory.

Wings feature nine pairs of avian and insectoid wings for fast aerial movement. The wings are obtained by combining the following substances with Slow Falling potions:
- Fairy (Oxeye Daisy)
- Monarch Butterfly (Orange Dye)
- Slime (Slimeball)
- Blue Butterfly (Blue Dye)
- Fire (Blaze Powder)
- Angel (Feather)
- Bat (Bat Blood)
- Evil (Bone)
- Dragon (Leather)
- Parrot (Red Dye)
Wings are permanent (until death) and can only be treated by drinking bottled bat blood, which is obtained by experimenting on bats with empty bottles.
- To activate flying, press the Fly Key (R) and soar across the skies!
