I’ve tested a lot of Minecraft mods that sound cool on paper but feel kind of forgettable in-game. Minecraft Packages Mod (Shulker-Like Boxes Are Simple To Make) is more interesting than that, mostly because it actually changes how the world feels instead of just adding random clutter. Minecraft Packages Mod is a controversial item storage mod. It's similar to "barrel" modifications, but it's not designed to be a storage option. Instead, the author wishes to be your storage problem: each package can only carry up to eight stacks (512) of any one item, and there are no capacity upgrades, void upgrades, or anything else by design.

He built this mod because he liked the semantics of shulker boxes but not because they were expensive in vanilla. Packages, on the other hand, are exceedingly cheap and serve as a more limited shulker box. Packages may be manipulated in the same manner that shulker boxes can—crush them with pistons to shatter them, and dispense them with a dispenser to position them. If you need to store more than 512 things, stack them within each other. A comparator can also be used to determine how filled they are. Allow your imagination to go free—what can you create?
- Build the Package Crafter out of some extra wood parts in this version of the mod, then manufacture Packages using any combination of blocks and dye you choose.
