I’ve tested a lot of Minecraft mods that sound cool on paper but feel kind of forgettable in-game. Crossbowverhaul Mod (Revised Crossbow for Minecraft) is more interesting than that, mostly because it actually changes how the world feels instead of just adding random clutter. The Minecraft Crossbowverhaul Mod modernizes the traditional Crossbow by providing it a new recipe because the previous one is no longer acceptable. At the same time, players will notice a few significant modifications in how the crossbow works.

To begin with, the crossbow now loads slower than previously, allowing the wielder to feel the power behind a single shot rather than continually firing it. Furthermore, new ammo is introduced; the crossbow no longer uses standard Arrows, but rather a stronger and smaller version of them, the Bolts, to do the most damage possible. When it comes to enchantments, the multishot can now fire three bolts at once.
Inspired by Balkon's Weapons, this mod seeks to recreate the classic period crossbow idea, which was created by BalkondeurAlpha before to the 1.14 vanilla release.
