Creeper Spores Mod (Baby Creeper's for Minecraft)

I’ve tested a lot of Minecraft mods that sound cool on paper but feel kind of forgettable in-game. Creeper Spores Mod (Baby Creeper's for Minecraft) is more interesting than that, mostly because it actually changes how the world feels instead of just adding random clutter. Minecraft Creeper Spores Mod expands on this concept by adding a few more features. Creeper Spores proliferation replaces creeper terrain damage. Spores appear as a status effect on living things trapped in a creeper explosion.

Creeper Spores Mod (Baby Creepers)

A creeperling has a chance to spawn when a creature is harmed or dies while under the influence, or when the effect expires.

Cute baby creepers will ultimately mature if exposed to adequate sunshine. They have half an adult's health and will run away from survival gamers and cats. A creeperling can be given bone meal to help it develop quicker. Creeperlings have some similarities to catnip, making them natural prey for cats and ocelots.

  • Creepers spawning on the surface are replaced with creeperlings
  • Creepers take double damage from fire (dry leaves burn quite well I hear)
  • Charged creepers still destroy terrain unless mob griefing is set to false (farming heads is a dangerous business)
  • You can spawn a creeperling by using a creeper spawn egg on another creeper or creeperling
  • You can disable individual creepers' spore spreading by altering their NBT to have the spores:giveSpores (true) boolean tag.
