I’ve tested a lot of Minecraft mods that sound cool on paper but feel kind of forgettable in-game. World Host Mod (Host singleplayer worlds without server or port forwarding setup) is more interesting than that, mostly because it actually changes how the world feels instead of just adding random clutter. The World Host Mod provides an ideal solution for Minecraft players. With this mod, you can easily host your own single-player worlds without the hassle of setting up a server or dealing with port forwarding configurations.
For players who don't want to deal with traditional server setups, this mod is the solid pick. All you need to do is install the mod and quickly host your single-player world!
One of the biggest advantages of this mod is that it allows players to share their single-player worlds with friends. You no longer need to rent a server to explore the same world with your friends. The World Host Mod enhances your single-player experience while providing a social aspect.
Another advantage of the World Host Mod is its security. Traditional server setups often come with security risks, but with this mod, you can forget about those concerns. You can share your single-player world only with yourself and the people you choose.
In conclusion, the World Host Mod is an excellent tool for enhancing your single-player Minecraft experience. Ideal for players who don't want to deal with server setups, this mod stands out for its ease of use and security. Don't wait to share your single-player worlds—try the World Host Mod now!
What if my friend doesn't have the mod?
If your friend lacks the mod, you can't use the friends' system. However, you can execute /worldhost ip to obtain an IP for tunneling. Be aware that avoiding the friends system might raise ping. To avoid ping issues, run /worldhost tempip for a temporary server IP lasting at least 60 seconds. Clients connecting within this period stay connected. To permanently disable the friend's system, access mod settings via the Mod Menu.
How does this mod function?
This mod operates with a server your client connects to, facilitating communication with other clients using World Host.
- When your friend wants to join, their client requests an IP address from the server.
- The server prompts your client to create a join mode (JoinType). Two modes exist: UPnP and Proxy.
- UPnP is attempted first. Your client tries opening a temporary port forward in your router for direct connection.
- If UPnP succeeds, your client informs the server of the port to use, and the server relays your IP and port to your friend's client.
- If UPnP fails, your client requests Proxy mode. The server then gives your friend's client the same "proxy IP" as the /worldhost ip.
/worldhost tempip attempts UPnP first before providing the proxy IP outright.
