I’ve tested a lot of Minecraft mods that sound cool on paper but feel kind of forgettable in-game. Better Advancements - Minecraft Mod is more interesting than that, mostly because it actually changes how the world feels instead of just adding random clutter. In a modified environment, Better Advancements Mod aims to enhance the UI and UX for the advancements system in Minecraft 1.12+.

The scope of this mod is purely decorative and QOL. Better Achievements' replacement for Minecraft 1.12+'s new Advancements system.

  • UI that fills the entire screen (instead of the tiny one used by ants).
  • The color of the progression icons can be changed (instead of the default gray, blue, and orange).
  • Adds an option to prevent the advancements background from disappearing on hover.
  • The size of the description boxes can be increased somewhat to make them easier to read.
  • The title of the tab is added to the title of the advancements UI.
