• Torches will burn out after a customizable length of time (by default, 60 minutes real-time), pushing players to seek out more permanent light sources.
• When it rains, the torches go out.
• Unlit torches will replace torches created in vanilla constructions.
• A glowstone crystal may be used to create permanently lighted torches.
• When handled, naturally light-emitting blocks and things will produce light (pre-1.14.4)
